확실한 이야기 줄거리 / Definitive outline story

정부가 인천의 외곽지역의 황무지에 신도시를 만들 계획을 세웠다. 불도저들이 도착해서 삽질을 시작했을때 오래된 도시의 유적이 발견되었다. 

공사를 재개하기 전에 6명으로 조직된 과학적 팀이 (최소 한명의 고고학자 포함) 이 유적을 발굴하고 무엇인지를 알아내기위해 투입되었다. 

발굴과정중 한명이 사진, 그림, 노트, 지도, 신문 조각들, 작은 물체들로 가득한 서류가방을 발견했다. 가방안의 내용물들은 이 폐허가 된 과거도시의 생활을 이해하는데 귀중한 보물이 될 것 같았다.

그 서류가방은 한 여성 번역가의 일생이 담긴 것으로 판명되었다. 그 여성은 정통적이지 않은 방식으로 도시를 탐구하는데 일생을 바치고 '사회성'이란 것을 도시(그녀의 말에 따르면 극도로 디자인화 되어서 지루하기 짝이 없는)로 재소개를 하려고 노력한 사람이다. 도시가 그곳을 살던 사람들이 그곳을 더이상 살지 못할 곳으로 여겨짐으로 인해 버려진 것으로 판명되자 그녀의 도시에 대한 생각은 진실인것 처럼 보인다.  그 여성은 그들과 함께 도시를 떠난 것이 아니라 이상하고 불분명한 상황에서 살인을 당한 것이다.

과학자 집단은 이 여성의 자료들을 선택하고 그것들에 관한 그들의 조사&생각을 책으로 발간하기로 결정하였다.

The government has plans to create a new residential area in a wasteland, just outside of the city of Incheon. When the first bulldozers arrive and start digging they hit upon the ruins of an old city.

A team of 6 scientists (among whom 1 archeologist) is constructed to unearth the ruins and decide what to do with them before construction can commence.

During a dig one of the scientists finds a suitcase filled with photographs, notes, drawings, maps, newspaper clippings and small objects. The contents of the suitcase seem to be a valuable treasure for understanding what life was like in the ruinous city. 

The suitcase turns out to be the lifework of a female translator who dedicated her life to unorthodox urban exploring and tried to reintroduce 'the social' into the city which according to her was 'designed to death'. Her ideas around the city seem to be truthful since it turns out that the city was abandoned by it's citizens because they deemed it uninhabitable. The woman never left the city with them, she was murdered under strange and unclear circumstances.

The team of scientists decides to publish a selection of the woman's material in combination with their own reflections on the material and an introduction on the context of the find.
